Hi everyone,
As the title says we are almost ready to leave Africa. Something we are not looking forward to but the time has come and of course it will be nice to see everybody again.
Last week we took our 32 kids to their new boardingschool. All day Saturday we spent getting them ready giving them toothpaste, toothbrushes, buckets, new blankets and so on. It was chaotic but successful. Sunday we took them to their new school they were very excited and happy to go. They realise this a big opportunity for them to have a good education to help them in the future. We left them with mixed feelings, will they be alright, have we made the right decision taking them away from their safe surroundings at the orphanage. Our doubts were soon over when we visited them on Saturday to say goodbye. They were very happy, already had new friends and had started their lessons which were 100% better than what they were use to. It was an emotional goodbye but we left with a good feeling.
Back at the orphanage we set to work sorting out the bedrooms, their clothes, the bathrooms and the diningroom. It was a week of cleaning and organising but it's now complete. We have 4 more days to enjoy the children. We realise Thursday will be very difficult but we know we will be back and they will always stay in our hearts.
Looking forward to seeing you all, you will probably get fed up with my stories when I'm home. Still so much to tell you and so much to do. It's a never ending story.

Never ending Sory.....with FALGOR (who looked so much like Floris) it really is......and I can imagine how you must feel leaving all your kids.... you're a supermammie with two superdaughters
and they will miss you.....
BUT WE ARE MISSING YOU TOOOOOOO!!!!!

Lieve Sue en dochters, wat een geweldige goed werk hebben jullie daar gedaan! Ik kan me voorstellen dat het heel moeilijk is om je daar van los te maken, je komt straks weer in een totaal andere wereld terecht.

Ik krijg kippevel van je verhaal. Zóó goed en lief en geweldig wat jullie daar hebben gedaan! We doen nu project Afrika op school, ik had mijn fotoboek van Malawi mee en moest weer aan je denken. Sterkete met afscheid nemen. Ik ben heel benieuwd naar je verhalen live in Holland. We moeten maar bij jou afspreken met de dames B&D. Tot so far, big hug, Peet. -
