Malawi

Hi everyone,

At last time to write some things down. We arrived in Nairobi on Tuesday October 2nd stayed the night and left for Blantyre, Malawi on Wednesday. We were picked up at the airport and first went to our hotel. We then went to pickup our car from Brother Harry a Dutch Missionary who has lived here for 37 years. You should see the car, an old pick-up truck, I think it's an antique.
At first Jacques thought it was dangerous but he got someone to look at it and until now it's great. I'll skip a of small details the most important thing is the orphanage. We visited the orphanage on Thursday I've never seen anything like it in my life. 66 orphans from the age of 1-18 years approx. All they have is a bed, some clothes and limited food. They sang a welcome song for us we had to fight our tears including Jacques. Unfortunately the house we were ment to stay in is not ready but we are going to stay in a room in Father Goodwills house, the man who runs the orphanage. Leanne told me I have to clean it first, it's very dirty (like everything here). We have bought everything gasburners, oil lamps, candles, food, etc and we set off today on our adventure. There is so much to do at the orphanage, we will have our hands full but looking at those 66 smiling but sad faces, we can't wait.
